Spiral bound.
Edition of 600

http://littlebrownmushroom.wordpress.com/24-pieces-by-allen-ruppersberg/

I chose these images from a series of Allen Ruppersberg's because I think they relate the most to my first project. For that project I was documenting a persons belongings in order to preserve or tell about them. These images make me think that Ruppersberg is trying to tell a story about someone or some place by showing the viewer their belongings and where thet live or have been.

Drew and Christie
I chose this photo because these are two of my good friends. I don't see them very often and we went to a wedding this weekend and got to hang out for a little while.

Feeding Animals
The wedding was at a ranch in the mountains so while we were there we got to see some animals. We also fed them some grass through the fence. I chose this photo because it was fun being around all of my friends.

Flamingos!
I went to the zoo last weekend for my boyfriends, brothers birthday. I chose this photo because the flamingos have always been one of my favorite animals to see at the zoo.

Fall colors!

I like this picture because it reminds me about each year when I go to the mountains and look at all of the trees changing colors. How beautiful!!

On the way to Hanging Lake

I like this picture because it reminds me of the hike to Hanging Lake. It was the one and only time that I have been there and it was awesome!

Heart Lake

I like this picture because it was taken on one of my favorite hikes. It was also the only time I had ever seen snow in July!

Polyester and paint
8 1/8 x 17 3/4 x 23 5/8 inches; 21 x 45 x 60 cm

I chose this mainly because of the octopus...they freak me out. I'm afraid I'll be the little person being captured by the octopus.

Roxy (9/13/10)

I chose this photograph because I think it's funny that my dog's tongue hangs out of her mouth all the time...it's because she has a really bad under bite. Also, because I think she's super cute.

Moab, Utah (Sometime in May)

I chose this picture because it was my favorite food discovery this summer. It was awesome because they made gluten free muffins so my BF could eat there too!!

Powdered sugar attack! (At a Rockies game)

I chose this picture because it makes me laugh. I was at a Rockies game and it was windy...but I wanted a funnel cake...and the powdered sugar blew all over the guys in front of me. The best part...they had no idea!

Blog Assignment 1

http://www.whitney.org/Exhibitions/LeeFriedlander

September 4 - November 28, 2010

I chose this image because it reminds me of road trips that I took with my family when I was younger. It makes me think about all of the all but abandoned bill boards and road signs on the side of the highways in between towns/cities.

May 28 - October 3, 2010

I chose this image because I like going to the movie theater to see movies. When I do go to movies I find myself wondering what all the other people in the theater are doing in the dark. Also, the couple that is kissing makes me think of high school...

July 17 - October 3, 2010

I chose this image because it made me laugh. Generally when I think of teepees I don't imagine them with antennas coming out of the top of them. It just made me think about how we always have to make things "better" than they were or how we have to add technology to everything, like it wasn't good enough to begin with.

Barbara and I (8/8/10)

I chose this photo because it was one of the last things I did on summer break. Also, I love hanging out with Barbara and it reminds me of how much fun we had.

Sign on a tree (8/8/10)

I chose this photo because I saw it on the last hike I took this summer and I thought it was kind of funny.

Wedding present for Sara and Vic (8/13/10)

I chose this photo because it was a wedding present that my boyfriend and I made for his sister and her husband. I think the present is funny and I had fun making it.
